In these difficult times we ask that the customer is able to assist us with our COVID-19 On Site Strategy (COSS) which we have derived from our Covid-19 assessments and policies, and based upon our Covid-19 Risk Assessment. Whilst we have laid out the Strategy below if you need to discuss something other than the set aside strategy (such as week day delivery) then please get in touch, we will do what we can to help, but we need to put the safety of our staff and customers on TOP PRIORITY.
BOOKING AND ORDERING
Bookings and ordering remain almost unaffected, you can still book online and pay a deposit, or you can call our main office ( 01934 203123 ) and book a bouncy castle over the telephone if you wish to pay in full at the time of the booking. It is worth noting that booking early to avoid disappointment is HIGHLY ADVISED – as we have a “quarantine period” of 4 days before the date and 4 days after, meaning that once you book, the surrounding 4 previous and 4 future days are unavailable, this means a single day booking can block NINE DAYS from the calendar.
YOU WILL BE CALLED OR SENT A TEXT ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE WITH AN ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL – FAILURE TO ANSWER OR REPLY WILL BE TAKEN AS CONFIRMATION THAT ALL IS OK – WE WILL USE THE NUMBER YOU PROVIDED ON BOOKING.
To prevent the spread of the Coronavirus our team are delivering inflatables in the Morning and collecting early evenings – on the same day, or overnight depending on what you select at time of booking – this ensures there are no cross contamination’s occurring in transport and that there is a MINIMUM 5 day period between hires – this will only differ should the weather/wind speeds be an issue and your hire may well be cut short or delivered later.
We CANNOT and WILL NOT deliver to anywhere other than a private REAR or ENCLOSED garden, we will also NOT be delivering to the property if there is no immediate access to the garden, without the need to go through any buildings or shared residential corridors (side gates are fine!). For clarification we will NOT be delivering to ANY public/shared grounds. We will not deliver to a front garden in view of the street to discourage social gatherings – unfortunately during our initial launch some customers have had them in the front gardens and upon arrival have had a garden full of neighbours not practising social distancing – this is something we HIGHLY discourage during these times.
Our delivery team will call you when on route, please do not be offended when you are asked to remain indoors. Once the team arrive you are welcome to talk to them through an open window , they will remain a safe distance away, you are also welcome to talk to them via telephone if preferred , you will be asked your preference on the initial call.
The team will require access to power, you will be asked where the nearest power socket is , if it is indoors our team will hang a lead into the window and you are required to then take it once the team member is within a safe distance and plug the lead DIRECTLY into a plug socket – NOT AN EXTENSION OR MULTI WAY ADAPTOR – You are also required to switch the socket on.
Once the inflatable is inflated and safe a team member will wish to speak to you again to discuss safety and any special requirements, a signature is also required at this point, please return the signed documents to our team by leaving them somewhere or handing over at a safe distance or threw a window/door.
On the evening, you will receive a call or text informing you our team are on route, please ensure you have cleaned off any markings on the mats and inflatable and that the children are warned to “go in” when the van and the team pull up, once again do not be offended when you are asked to remain indoors. Once the team arrive you are welcome to talk to them through an open window , they will remain a safe distance away, you are also welcome to talk to them via telephone if preferred.
Please ensure the inflatable is fully inflated so our team can do an inspection, once the inflatable is deflated by the team, please unplug the power socket and pass it back through the window (unless the team used an outdoor socket or other source!) – Our team will then go about loading the items into the van and ensuring the garden is left as it was, the team will then bid you farewell and ensure you were happy with your hire.
Previous customers of Total Bounce bouncy castle hire know how interactive our teams are with the children and adults when delivering, so this whole process is very saddening not just to the users of the inflatables but the teams too! But it is a necessary version of events to adhere to.
SANITISING AND CLEANING
The inflatables are NOT hired out for a minimum 5 days between the hires, this, as we understand is long enough for the virus to “die” on the surface of items. As well as our usual cleaning regime between hires we now have a more vigorous cleaning schedule – including setting the entire inflatable up once again for another sanitation process – this incurs much more expense and extra staff costs, time and service supply, but we do this to ensure Yours and Our well-being.
